Email Hosting Setup & Help

Everything you need to get your domain email connected and working across every device.

Step 1

DNS Setup

MX record

Routes incoming mail to your mailbox. We'll provide the exact host value for your domain — it typically looks like mx.yourdomain.com with priority 10.

SPF record (TXT)

Authorizes our servers to send mail for your domain. We'll give you the exact v=spf1 ... value to paste into a TXT record.

DKIM record (TXT/CNAME)

Digitally signs outgoing mail so it isn't spoofed or flagged as spam. We'll provide the selector and key to add.

DMARC record (TXT)

Tells receiving servers what to do with mail that fails SPF or DKIM. A policy like v=DMARC1; p=none; is a safe starting point.

Don't want to touch DNS? Our Deliverability Setup add-on configures and tests all of these for you.

Step 2

Email Client Setup

Outlook

Add a new account, choose IMAP, and use your full email address plus the IMAP/SMTP server names we provide.

Apple Mail

Mail > Add Account > Other Mail Account. Enter your email, password, and the incoming/outgoing server settings.

Thunderbird

File > New > Existing Mail Account. Thunderbird will auto-discover most settings; enter the server names if prompted.

iPhone / Android

Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Other. Use IMAP with SSL and the server names we provide.

Standard server settings

Incoming (IMAP): port 993, SSL
Outgoing (SMTP): port 465, SSL

Use your full email address as the username for both. Exact hostnames are provided in your welcome email.

Webmail

Prefer a browser? Webmail is included on every plan and works from any device without configuration. Your welcome email includes the direct login URL — bookmark it for quick access.

Troubleshooting

Mail is landing in spam

Most often a missing DKIM or SPF record. Confirm both are present in DNS, then give the records a few hours to propagate.

I can't send mail

Check that your outgoing server uses authentication with your full email address and port 465 (SSL). If you just changed DNS, propagation can take up to 24 hours.

I forgot my password

Use the password reset link on the webmail login page, or contact us and we can reset it for you.

Mail isn't arriving

Confirm your MX record points to the correct host and priority. If it was just added, wait for DNS propagation before testing.
